Wondering what a GutX™ report looks like? See a sample report

At-home gut microbiome test

GutX™: see the ecosystem behind digestion

An at-home stool test that maps your gut's sequencing-derived microbial composition and diversity — with an optional VAMS ATLAS™ layer that turns raw data into clear, readable context. Educational insight, not a diagnosis.

GutX profiles the bacteria in your gut and organises the signal into structured, non-diagnostic wellness insight — what is present, how balanced it is, and where careful interpretation applies. Upgrade from 16S to deeper sequencing whenever you want more resolution.

Derived from sequencing data. Educational and wellness-oriented — not for medical decision-making. Availability and pricing confirmed at configuration.

GutX™ gut microbiome ecosystem visual

A focused gut test, built to be understood

GutX™ helps users explore gut microbial composition, diversity and functional potential in a clear, staged report pathway.

Most microbiome reports hand you a wall of raw taxa. GutX™ is designed the other way around: we sequence your stool sample, then organize the results into structured, plain-language context you can actually read and revisit.

From one at-home sample, GutX™ maps the sequencing-derived signals that describe your gut community:

Microbial composition — the relative abundance of the bacteria present in your sample

Diversity and richness — how varied and balanced your community appears

Ecosystem balance indicators — patterns across key microbial groups

Key taxa context — notable organisms placed in interpretable context

Add the optional VAMS ATLAS™ interpretation layer to structure these signals into panels and scores, and to track how your composition shifts over time when you retest. GutX™ is an educational wellness tool for understanding your microbiome — it does not diagnose, treat, or replace personal medical care.

Designed for educational microbiome interpretation. It is not intended to replace professional judgement.

What GutX™ can help you understand

GutX™ focuses on sequencing-derived gut microbial composition, diversity and functional context where supported.

GutX explains what this test measures from your selected sample workflow, and how those sequencing-derived observations are organised for reading.

Microbial composition and relative abundance — Summarizes the detected gut microbial community and relative abundance patterns from the selected sequencing method.
Diversity, richness and community balance — Reviews richness, evenness and balance indicators for the sampled gut ecosystem using method-aware interpretation.
Top detected taxa and ecosystem patterns — Highlights prominent microbial groups and ecosystem-level patterns without presenting them as standalone clinical findings.
Functional pathway context where supported — Adds genomic-potential or expression-derived context when WGS Advanced™ or MetaT Functional™ supports additional interpretation.
Gut ecosystem context — Organizes digestive, metabolic, immune-associated and gut–brain themes as educational microbiome focus areas where compatible.

Outputs reflect sequencing-derived microbial features and method scope. They are intended for educational microbiome interpretation.

Choose how much interpretation you want

Every GutX™ order includes your Microbiome Profiling Report. Packages add ATLAS™ interpretation — pick the depth that fits, and upgrade any time after your results.

Packages are separate from sequencing depth. Sequencing decides what data is generated; your package decides how much interpretation is unlocked. Most people start with ATLAS Core.

  • Essential Profile — your Microbiome Profiling Report: composition, diversity, top taxa and method notes.
  • ATLAS Core (recommended) — adds the ATLAS Intelligence Report, your Gut Foundation Pack, core scores, essential panels and confidence indicators.
  • ATLAS Plus — expanded intelligence, enhanced score detail, Insight Pack credits and longitudinal readiness.
  • Professional Insight — a separate practitioner and research add-on.

Package and sequencing depth are different choices

Your package decides how much interpretation your report includes. Sequencing depth decides what biological resolution can be generated from your sample. The configurator keeps these choices separate so you can choose a clear report pathway without hiding the method details.

  • Package = report entitlement and interpretation depth
  • Sequencing depth = biological data resolution
  • Foundation Pack = included ecosystem-specific ATLAS interpretation layer
  • Insight Packs = optional thematic interpretation modules
  • Scores and panels = report outputs inside packs
  • Essential Profile, ATLAS Core, and ATLAS Plus are not renamed versions of 16S, WGS, and MetaT. They are report interpretation packages with recommended method defaults.

Choose the data depth before you choose the interpretation layer.

Sequencing determines the type and resolution of microbiome data generated. ATLAS™ determines how compatible outputs are organized and interpreted.

GutX™ supports sequencing pathways based on product and sample workflow compatibility. Each tier changes resolution and interpretability; it does not change the purpose of the page into medical assessment.

Tier 1 16S

16S Foundation™

Foundational microbial composition and diversity for baseline ecosystem profiling.

Tier 2 WGS

WGS Advanced™

Species-level detail and functional pathway context based on genomic potential where available.

Tier 3 MetaT

MetaT Functional™

RNA-derived microbial activity context where supported by sample workflow and laboratory method.

ATLAS™ Intelligence Layer

Transforms sequencing-derived microbiome features into readable scores, scientific panels, confidence indicators, tracking views and optional Insight Packs.

  • ATLAS™ Scores
  • Scientific Panels
  • Confidence indicators
  • Reference cohort context
  • Longitudinal tracking
  • Optional Insight Packs where compatible

Your included Gut Foundation Pack

The Gut Foundation Pack is the core ATLAS™ interpretation layer for GutX™. It organizes foundational gut microbiome patterns into panels and scores so your report has structure beyond raw microbial composition.

  • Gut composition context
  • Diversity and richness context
  • Ecosystem balance indicators
  • Key taxa context
  • Core confidence indicators
  • Method and interpretation notes
  • Included with: ATLAS Core, ATLAS Plus. The Foundation Pack is automatically included when the selected package includes ATLAS™ interpretation. Score visibility and panel availability may vary by sequencing depth and runtime compatibility.

Responsible interpretation

Wellness education, with the limits shown

Educational, not diagnostic

VAMS BIOME reports are wellness education — they describe your microbiome, not a medical diagnosis or treatment.

Method-bounded

What can be inferred depends on the sequencing method (16S / WGS / MetaT) and sample quality. Boundaries are shown, not hidden.

Context, not certainty

Microbiome patterns describe context and association, read against reference cohorts with confidence indicators — not proof of cause.

Professional care

For symptoms or clinical decisions, speak with a qualified healthcare professional. Reports support understanding; they do not replace medical advice.

GutX™ does not diagnose digestive, immune, neurological, or mental-health conditions and does not prescribe supplements or treatment.
