Can VAMS LABS process samples directly?

Laboratory processing may be performed by approved partner laboratories depending on region, assay, and project scope. What is in-house, partner-supported, or coordinated is confirmed during scoping.

Do you support DNA/RNA extraction?

Extraction workflows are supported or coordinated, with QC framing and partner-lab routing where applicable. Availability is confirmed during scoping.

Can you work with samples already extracted, or analyse FASTQ from another provider?

Yes — projects can start from raw material, extracted DNA/RNA, FASTQ files, or processed tables. We confirm input compatibility during scoping.

Do you support 16S, shotgun metagenomics, and metatranscriptomics?

16S amplicon, shotgun metagenomic, and metatranscriptomic workflows are discussed during scoping, with method limitations shown. ITS and add-ons are available where supported.

What deliverables can research groups receive?

Depending on scope: scoping summaries, method recommendations, QC summaries, feature/abundance tables, diversity and functional summaries, figures, methods notes, ATLAS™ report layers, and documented data packages.

Are outputs diagnostic?

No. Public outputs are research-use, educational, or wellness-oriented and method-bounded — not diagnostic — unless otherwise formally contracted and legally approved.

How are consent and data governance handled?

Projects are consent-aware; data-handling, de-identification, and access are confirmed during scoping and governed by the contracted workflow.

Can VAMS support lab partnerships or white-label reporting?

Validation and performance

Analytical performance is established through the laboratory validation protocol; quantitative figures are confirmed during validation and are not stated speculatively.

Reproducibility Analytical reproducibility is assessed using replicate quality monitoring and laboratory quality-assurance procedures.
Sequencing depth Minimum sequencing depth is established according to the validated laboratory protocol.
Controls Extraction controls, library controls, sequencing QC and bioinformatics quality filters are applied throughout the workflow.
Limit of detection Detection capability depends on sample type, sequencing chemistry and assay configuration; quantitative limits are established during laboratory validation.
