What is a microbiome report?
A microbiome report translates sequencing-derived microbial data into a structured, readable view of an ecosystem. Instead of raw sequencing output, a VAMS BIOME report organizes results into composition, diversity context, ATLAS™ interpretation layers, and confidence indicators — with clear method notes and limitations so you know how to read each result.

How the report is organized
VAMS ATLAS™ gives the report a consistent structure. The Foundation Pack provides the core ecosystem interpretation. Panels group related scores into biological domains, and Scores sit inside those panels. Insight Packs can add further panels and scores where compatible.

Your package decides how much of the report you receive
Package controls interpretation depth. Sequencing depth controls biological resolution and can be adjusted in the configurator. The two are separate choices.

The Foundation Pack is the core ATLAS™ interpretation layer for an ecosystem, included with ATLAS Core and ATLAS Plus. It organizes foundational microbiome patterns into panels and scores so the report has structure beyond raw composition.
Does the package change what my report contains?
Yes. The package controls interpretation depth — how much of the report you receive. Essential Profile provides a baseline; ATLAS Core adds the Foundation Pack, core scores, panels, and confidence indicators; ATLAS Plus expands panels and eligible Insight Packs. Sequencing depth is a separate choice.
