What is a microbiome test?

A microbiome test uses a sample from a specific body ecosystem to profile microbial composition and related sequencing-derived features. VAMS BIOME tests four ecosystems — gut, vaginal, oral, and skin — each with its own sample type and reporting context. The result is a structured report rather than raw sequencing data, organized so microbial patterns are easier to read and compare over time.

No. Package level controls interpretation depth — how much of the report you receive. Sequencing depth controls biological resolution — what type of microbial data can be generated. VAMS BIOME keeps these choices separate so the method details are never hidden behind the package name.

What does VAMS ATLAS™ add?
