Scores translate complex sequencing data into readable domains — diversity, composition, balance, resilience, and function — each bounded by reference-cohort context and a confidence overlay.
A raw taxonomic table is hard to read; a score makes it legible without pretending to be a diagnosis. VAMS ATLAS™ scores summarize validated sequencing signals across defined domains and place each result in percentile context against relevant reference cohorts. Every score carries a confidence overlay showing how strongly it can be read. Scores describe sequencing-derived microbial context and associations — they do not diagnose, treat, or predict disease.
Why scores matter
Scores turn thousands of data points into structured, comparable context — with their limits shown, not hidden.
Without structure, sequencing output is a wall of abundances that resists interpretation. Scores organize that output into domains you can actually reason about and compare against reference populations, so a result has meaning relative to a cohort rather than in isolation. Crucially, each score is paired with a confidence indicator and a clear scope: it reflects a pattern in your sample, framed as association, and is never a substitute for clinical assessment.
